Dear Mr. Galloway:

Thank you for taking the time to contact Chick-fil-A. You are very important to us, and we are grateful for your kind comments regarding the excellent service and food quality you recently received from the drive-thru of our Thoroughbred Square restaurant.

We work hard to ensure that you have a great experience each time you visit Chick-fil-A. We are excited to offer this outside service to our customers in an effort to increase service speed as well as provide face-to-face contact with our customers while ordering. The Operator of each location ensures that team members rotate with other team members regularly and stay well hydrated. Often, these team members look forward to working outside with customers for a change of atmosphere.

Your comments have been forwarded to Bill Pfaender, Operator of the Thoroughbred Square Restaurant. Bill and his team will be happy to know that their efforts were appreciated.

Again, thank you for your time and interest in Chick-fil-A. We look forward to serving you at the Thoroughbred Square restaurant again soon.

Sincerely,

Tamara

These folks are consistently top notch when it comes to customer service. They never get your order wrong, and there always seem to be enough people on hand to quickly serve even crazy amounts of people coming through, both drive through and inside. I could site dozens of times they have impressed me with awesome service.

I agree...but I also notice that I'm more graceful if I'm the recipient of an an email that has misspellings when i can tell it was sent from a mobile phone...kind of funny.

I think that subconsciously my expectations are higher if the email is sent from a computer and not a phone.

Interesting points.

I think this is spot on.

However, I think where I tend to struggle is feeling bad about saying 'no' to things that I know that I can't execute on. I like the idea of letting your yes be yes and no be no but when it comes to practical application I have a hard time. I know that I should say 'no' but the fear of being seen as arrogant tends to win out.

Any advice on how to sell the virtue of 'the no'?

And how leave those that you have to say 'no' to feeling like you did it because you legitimately care about them and not letting them down?
